Key West Activities

What to do in Key West? The better question is what not to do! With all of the activities that Key West has to offer, picking and choosing what you have time to do may be more challenging than you first thought!

Art Galleries
A number of Key West art galleries feature the artwork of nationally renowned artists, such as the Pulitzer Prize winner Jeff MacNelly, natural history illustrator John James Audubon, photographer Alan S. Maltz and so many more! While a number of the art galleries are located on Duval Street there are several other local Key West art galleries that are hidden away off the beaten path.

Duval Street
Duval Street is a central point for many of the Key West attractions. From the popular Duval Street restaurants, to the classy Duval Street hotels, to the innumerable number of bars and nightclubs-it is the life of Key West! Besides accommodation, food and nightlife, Duval Street also offers a number of unique gift shops and art galleries. As you make the two-mile walk from one end of Duval Street to the other, you will see many things that are sure to catch your eye. Enjoy a day of exploration and discovery on Duval Street!

Tours and Cruises
While in Key West, take a sunset cruise into the Key West waters on a majestic schooner or sail aboard a yacht in search of dolphins. If you are adventurous at heart, consider one of the "do it all tours" that combines water skiing, knee boarding, jet skiing, windsurfing, kayaking and so much more-all in one tour! If you enjoy mystery and an adrenalin rush, travel to the Old Town quarter of Key West after sunset and join one of the Key West ghost tours. Travel with a knowledgeable guide who will light the way with an antique oil lamp and take you to the most mysterious points of Key West.

Snorkeling and Scuba Diving
The beautiful coastal water and the coral reef make Key West and ideal place for snorkeling and scuba diving. A number of rental companies can provide you with equipment if you do not have your own. Go scuba diving and explore the USNS Gen. Hoyt S. Vandenberg wreckage, or take a snorkeling tour and be amazed the beauty of the only living coral reef located on the Atlantic side of North America.

History, art, shopping, outdoors, watersports or sightseeing tours, Key West has something for everyone!
